A. Interviews are scheduled from October through February.
Q. How many residents are in each year?
A. The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Capital Health is a categorical program with 20 residents in each year – 60 total residents. We have one fourth-year Chief Resident/Junior Faculty Member.
Q. Do you offer/allow second looks?
A. In order to decrease the stress on our applicants, we do not encourage “second looks”. Applicants often find themselves wondering if a “second look” will increase their chances of showing interest and matching with the program. Our match list is developed based on the strength of the application and applicant’s interview. Please see the AAIM Guidelines on Post-Interview Communication and Second Looks.
Q. Do you offer/allow observerships?
A. No. The State of New Jersey defines an “observer” as a current medical student. Observerships vary in their quality; therefore it is difficult to assess the value of an observership.
