Vanessa Aboagye, DO
Dr. Vanessa Aboagye received her medical degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. Prior to medical school, she received a bachelor in Neuroscience at Trinity College and obtained a master’s degree at Rowan University Graduate of Biomedical Science. She then spent two years working in the pharmaceutical industry before starting medical school. She became interested in emergency medicine after shadowing a physician in the emergency department. She was attracted to the fast pace, diverse patient population, different pathologies and the vast procedures.
Dr. Aboagye is fluent in English. On her spare time, she enjoys watching television, exercising, travelling, going to restaurants and spending time with family and friends.
Dennis Bordes, MD
Dr. Dennis Bordes graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor's in Biology with a Neuroscience concentration. Following a stint of scribing in the Emergency Department in the Methodist Hospital system, he attended Medical School at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies. His core clinical rotations took place across New Jersey and New York and he decided to stay due to a combination of the weather and the bagels.
Dennis is attracted to the fast paced and challenging nature of Emergency Medicine, and looks forward to overnight shifts and procedures. Outside of work he enjoys comedy, video games, and learning to cook.
Kevin Charan, DO
Dr. Kevin Charan graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2022. He obtained a masters degree from PCOM in 2018 in Biomedical Sciences as well with a concentration in Behavioral Neurology. He graduated from Ursinus College with a degree in Health and Exercise Physiology.
He has worked as a personal trainer and a medical assistant during his time in school. His hobbies include working out, exploring delicious foods and photography. He has two dogs at home that he looks forward to playing with in his time off.
Kathleen Cruz, MD
Dr. Kathleen Cruz was born in Peru and has called New Jersey her home since moving to the US. She received her medical degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Cruz is interested in Social Emergency Medicine, addressing social determinants of health and treating patients in the context of their community. She chose Capital Health for the unique community of diverse patients and diverse pathology.
Dr. Cruz is a native Spanish speaker. In her free time, she enjoys watching true crime shows, wine tasting, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and new pup.
Akshat Rajan, DO
Dr. Akshat Rajan was raised in West Windsor NJ and received his undergrad degree from Penn State University and medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He first became interested in EM as a ER scribe at St Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne PA.
Outside of medicine Dr. Rajan is an avid cinematographer, ultimate frisbee player and a huge Eagles fan and fantasy football guru.
Zain Siddiqi, MD
Dr. Zain Siddiqi received his medical degree from St. Georges University in Grenada West Indies and completed his clinical rotations at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Siddiqi completed his undergraduate degree in public health and biology at Rutgers University, New Brunswick.
Dr. Siddiqi is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and English. Outside of medicine he enjoys playing basketball, hiking, bouldering, snowboarding, and spending time with family and friends.
