Labor and Delivery

Our Labor and Delivery Unit offers patient-centered care during childbirth. As a TeamBirth hospital, we support your preferences for labor and birth and encourage you to share your written plan. Here is an overview of what we routinely offer to ensure the best experience for both delivery and labor support.

Birth Preferences

As you prepare for labor and delivery, we want to inform you of the services routinely offered and available to you at Capital Health. That is why we created this Birth Preference sheet. From admission through discharge, you and your support team will participate in TeamBirth huddles with your health care providers. These huddles foster shared decision-making to ensure your birth preferences are respected and considered when developing your care plan.

We encourage you to download and print this form and review this plan with your provider and your hospital team upon arrival. We value your birth preferences and are committed to working as a team to support your goals while ensuring a safe and healthy delivery. Our shared goal is to provide safe, respectful, and patient-centered care for you and your baby.
