PGY-2 (Class of 2021)

Dr. Reena Concepcion is from Lansdale, PA and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences in May 2019. She completed her PGY1 residency at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA and was one of the first residents of the program. As a student, she worked at ACME Pharmacy in Northeast Philadelphia as a student and also traveled to Panajachel, Guatemala as part of a medical mission rotation where she performed clinical duties at a family clinic. Aside from pharmacy, she has completed a minor in music and was heavily involved in the music program while in school. She was president of the Kingsessing Singers, the Kingsessing Chamber Choir, the Keytones Acapella group, and was the national anthem vocalist for the university’s events.

Dr. Concepcion is extremely excited to be the first Pharmacotherapy PGY2 resident at Capital Health and to be able to explore her wide variety of clinical interests. In particular, she is most interested in internal medicine, cardiology, and infectious diseases. She hopes to become an internal medicine pharmacist, precept students and residents, and maybe start her own residency program one day.
