When a nerve block is used as part of your anesthesia, the therapist will test for full return of your strength and sensation. Your therapy session will be designed to ensure your safety. Some possible options the therapist may choose to ensure your safety could limit the therapy activities until strength and sensation return.

It is very important that family members or visitors do not assist with moving you after surgery. Wait for assistance from your orthopedic team members to ensure your safety.
