Inspect your incision every day. You may gently wash your incision with soap and water. Notify your doctor right away if you have a fever of 101 degrees Fahrenheit or if your incision becomes red, hot, or has any drainage.
Inform your dentist or doctors before having any procedure such as teeth cleaning or a colonoscopy. You may be prescribed antibiotics to prevent an infection from developing at the site of your new joint.
