Cardiology is an elective learning experience. The resident will manage patients after cardiac surgery or interventional procedures.
Critical Care Hopewell
Critical Care Hopewell is an elective learning experience at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell in which residents will work with the multidisciplinary team and clinical pharmacy specialist to provide care to patients requiring medical or surgical critical services.
Emergency Medicine – Hopewell
Residents will work alongside unit-based pharmacists to facilitate provision of medications to patients in the Emergency Department at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell. Services provided are acute patient care pharmaceutical services, medication histories, order evaluation and patient counseling. Primary focus is transitional care aspects of pharmacy services within the emergency department and pediatric care services.
Hematology/Oncology
Residents work alongside the pharmacists in the Infusion Center at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell to evaluate chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy infusion therapy orders and prepare medications under the regulations governing compounding of hazardous and non-harzardous sterile preparations.

Possible upon individual discussion with the program and in conjunction with pharmacy services provided at Capital Health.
Residents may repeat a core rotational experience later in the year with more advanced objectives and expectations after having completed the required pre-requisite rotations.
