Circle of Care

Circle of CareCapital Women in Philanthropy (CWP) hosted the annual Circle of Care event on Thursday, May 14 at The Boathouse at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, New Jersey. This year’s event celebrated the extraordinary achievements of the 13 individual grantees who received a total of $78,542 in funding support from CWP in 2025. These grants supported programs such as employee workshops, community support groups, and initiatives that directly strengthen the patient and staff experience across Capital Health.

The event also extended warm congratulations to the 2026 grantees as they begin their year of impact and continue advancing the mission of Capital Women in Philanthropy. Since 2007, CWP’s annual grant program has awarded more than $868,000 to 182 projects, advancing initiatives that support the health and well‑being of patients, families, caregivers, and the broader community.

The evening featured guest speaker Mihika Patel, a speaker, coach, and founder of 1 Mighty Mama, who shared an empowering message about strength, resilience, and the impact of women supporting women. Thank you, Mihika!

A highlight of the night was the presentation of the fourth annual Founders Award to Gail Johnson, a CWP founding member whose commitment began in 2008 and has continued every year since. Her early support helped fund some of CWP’s first grants, including bicycle helmets for children, comfort items for cancer patients, and clothing for trauma patients. Congratulations, Gail!
