Joanne has been a practicing certified nurse midwife for more than 15 years and was instrumental in developing a midwifery practice at the Mary V O’Shea Birth Center at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Prior to this, she worked in private OB/GYN practices in Union, West Caldwell and Morristown, New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner degrees at Columbia University School of Nursing in New York, New York. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
Joanne lives with her husband Manny and two children, Audrey and Brayden. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as walking, running, hiking and camping and likes to read.
