Annie is a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Rutgers University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver in Denver, CO. Before joining Capital Health, Annie spent much of her career working with individuals with co-occurring disorders in community-based treatment programs. She is experienced working with adults with a variety of issues from depression, anxiety, and addiction to grief and major life transitions. Annie uses a variety of therapeutic approaches to build a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. Her approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based techniques.
