Dr. McGuire is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with individuals across the adult lifespan. She has specialized training in geropsychology and has worked with patients coping with dementia and other cognitive deficits. Additionally, she has expertise in behavioral cardiology which focuses on managing the unique needs of patients with various cardiac illnesses. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston College and earned her master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Northwell Health, The Zucker Hillside Hospital in Glen Oaks, NY, where she also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in geropsychology. Dr. McGuire views therapy as a collaborative relationship with a patient-centered approach and utilizes cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based techniques.
