
Dr. Andrew Litwin is a board certified, fellowship trained critical care surgeon. He received his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, where he also served as a teaching assistant for first-year medical students. Dr. Litwin completed his general surgery residency at Baystate Medical Center – University of Massachusetts Medical School in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he was named Resident as Teacher at the Baystate Simulation Center & Goldberg Surgical Skills Lab. Dr. Litwin completed fellowship training in surgical intensive care at New Jersey Medical Center- Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.
Before joining Capital Health, Dr. Litwin was a clinical instructor and fellow at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He has published trauma research and presented at regional medical conferences. Dr. Litwin is a member of the American College of Surgeons. He is fluent in Hebrew.
