Rachel FlumoProgram Coordinator, Community/Urban Health – Institute for Urban Care

Rachel Flumo is the program coordinator for the Institute for Urban Care, where she oversees the For my Baby and Me (FMBAM) Grant, an evidence-based collaborative initiative providing opioid treatment for pregnant individuals. Through this program, Capital Health partners with Catholic Charities, HomeFront, the Rescue Mission of Trenton, and the Trenton Health Team to deliver comprehensive support services that increase the likelihood of long-term recovery and success for program participants. In addition to her work with FMBAM, Rachel also oversees the Institute’s food pantry, in partnership with Arm in Arm, to address food insecurity in the City of Trenton.

Rachel holds a Master of Public Health degree from Rutgers University-New Brunswick and brings extensive experience in clinical research. Her academic and professional background has equipped her with a strong foundation in research, data analysis, and program coordination and evaluation. Rachel is passionate about using data-driven, evidence-based approaches, and community connections to design and implement population-based interventions that strengthen communities and promote health and well-being.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys travelling, exploring new restaurants, shopping, trying out new hobbies and activities, and engaging with all forms of art.
