The physicians at Capital Health Pulmonology Specialists – Hopewell diagnose and treat conditions that affect the lungs and respiratory system. Because some pulmonary conditions can extend to the cardiovascular system or other organs in the body, we work with referring physicians—from primary care providers to other specialists such as oncologists, critical care specialists and surgeons—involved in a patient’s care to accurately diagnose conditions and develop a personalized treatment plan.

Dr. Diana Kolman, director of Interventional Pulmonology at Capital Health, is fellowship trained in performing non-surgical endoscopic procedures in the airways and chest cavity to diagnose and treat:

• Primary lung cancer and cancers that metastasize to the lung
• Airway obstructions
• Mediastinal adenopathy (enlargement of the mediastinal lymph nodes)
• Undiagnosed lung nodules and masses
• Pleural diseases (conditions affecting the membrane that surrounds the lungs)

Dr. Syed Asghar, board certified in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine and specializes in airway diseases of the lungs.

Dr. Irene Hao, board certified in pulmonary disease, critical care, and internal medicine, treats patients with asthma, emphysema, bronchiectasis, abnormal lung imaging, sepsis/septic shock, and respiratory failure.

Dr. Nabil Mesiha specializes in pulmonary critical care medicine and has more than 20 years of clinical experience.

Dr. Dolly Patel, board certified in pulmonary medicine, treats pulmonary/breathing problems that include asthma, cough, emphysema, shortness of breath, suspicious lung imaging, basic sleep apnea, and pneumonia/infections of the lung.
