Capital Health’s School of Nursing admits once per year, in the fall. The application deadline is March 31 for the generic and extended programs and February 28 for the LPN to RN Transition Program. However, there is rolling admission at Capital Health School of Nursing, and we accept students on a monthly basis as we receive and review completed applications.

The reputation of the faculty, staff, and graduates (including graduates of the St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing program) has always been one of excellence and caring. Since 1905, when the school was founded by the Sisters of the Third Order of Saint Francis in Aston, Pennsylvania, more than 3,900 graduates have contributed to various aspects of nursing and health care throughout the U.S. and other countries.
Capital Health School of Nursing is a two-year program in partnership with Mercer County Community College (MCCC), which culminates in a Diploma in Nursing from Capital Health and an Associate in Science degree from MCCC. The curriculum is progressive and fast-paced, consisting of 40 credits in professional nursing courses taught at Capital Health and 30 general education credits taught at Mercer County Community College.
