As part of Capital Health’s newly-formed Capital Healthy Students initiative, we are excited to announce this year’s video contest, "Teens Off Screens." Middle school students grades sixth through eighth are invited to participate in our video creation challenge in which they produce a 60-second public service announcement (“PSA”) addressing various aspects of excessive screen time. The video can include personal stories, statistics, and creative storytelling to engage the audience.

The primary objective of this campaign is to inspire and motivate students to create an impactful PSA video that raises awareness about the dangers of spending too much time in front of screens, while also promoting healthier alternatives and digital mindfulness.

Contest Summary

We want students to put together their best 30 – 60 second video regarding the harmful effects and dangers of excessive screen time. Students will have a chance to help their school’s PTO/PTA win $2,000!

We will be selecting one winner in each of the following categories:

  • Most Impactful: $2,000
  • Most Creative and Original: $2,000
  • Best Use of Messaging: $2,000
  • Honorable Mention: $2,000
