Attention middle school students! Welcome to Capital Healthy Students, the program that is all about you making a real impact on your school and community. We want you to become a Capital Healthy Student Ambassador and inspire your peers to prioritize their health and wellness.
Capital Healthy Students is an innovative campaign developed by Capital Health with the goal of empowering kids to become advocates and ambassadors for preventative health. We recognize the critical importance of adopting healthy habits early in life, and we need your help to increase awareness in turning these habits into lifelong ones.
Program Highlights
Capital Healthy Student Ambassadors: Recruit enthusiastic and dedicated students from diverse backgrounds to serve as ambassadors for the Capital Healthy Students campaign.
Educational: Option to hold classroom talks led by our experienced health care providers on topics such as nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and more.
Peer-to-Peer Outreach: Encourage student ambassadors to connect with their peers through peer-led discussions, presentations, and social media outreach.
Campaign Materials: Help distribute and promote educational materials, posters, and digital content that highlight the importance of preventative health and the current "Teens Off Screens" campaign.
Collaborations: Partner with Capital Health to strengthen the campaign's reach and impact.
How You Can Help
Advocating: Speak up and spread the word about how important it is to take care of your health. Use your creativity to inspire others to do the same by participating in our Teens Off Screens video contest, which runs until March 1, 2024.
Educating: Knowledge is power! Take time to learn about healthy habits, nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being. We will work alongside Capital Healthy Student Ambassadors to help bring health care professionals from Capital Health into classrooms to present talks on a variety of important topics that are important to you, your fellow students, teachers and friends.
