Is That Bump a Hernia? A Free Screening Event

Hernias can affect many areas of the body, often appearing as a bump under the skin in the abdomen or groin and causing varying levels of pain. Most occur when an area of weakened muscle allows an organ or other tissue to protrude from an opening in the muscle wall. If you have pain that affects your ability to perform day-to-day activities and think it might be a hernia, join Dr. Jooyeun Chung, director of Capital Health’s Robotic-Assisted Surgery Program, for a free hernia screening and a discussion of the latest minimally invasive surgical options for treatment. Staff will be available to schedule follow-up appointments, as needed. Please wear loose clothing.

The event also includes:

  • Free blood pressure screenings
  • Information about Capital Health’s LIFE Program for seniors
  • General information about Capital Health
