You’ve just given birth and your physician has cleared you to exercise, but where do you start? Many postpartum women are eager to start exercising again but are nervous and confused about how to safely get back into the swing of things.
Prediabetes is a common condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be classified as type 2 diabetes. Without lifestyle changes, many people with prediabetes will go on to develop type 2 diabetes, along with increased risk for heart disease and stroke.
This support group is for individuals who have sustained aphasia or some form of communication disorder from a neurological condition. This group is meant for patients as well as their loved ones to meet other people who share similar circumstances.
This one-day program is designed for students in sixth grade and up. Taught by Capital Health’s Community Health Education Department, the program covers safety, emergencies, playtime, and basic first aid and CPR. Participants are encouraged to bring a snack.
