Interventional radiology (IR) is a rapidly growing medical specialty that offers patients a minimally invasive alternative to open surgery. Using real-time image guidance — including X-ray, CT, and ultrasound— our board-certified interventional radiologists pass small catheters, wires, or needles directly to the site of disease through incisions no larger than a pencil tip. This precision approach means less risk, shorter recovery times, and no overnight hospital stay for most patients.
Our team specializes in high-impact procedures including embolotherapy (non-surgical treatment for cancer, enlarged prostates, fibroids, and knee osteoarthritis), venous stenting and thrombectomy, pain management (kyphoplasty, steroid injections, and nerve ablations), along with image-guided biopsies, tumor ablation, and venous access.
