Meet Our Audiologists

Susan Dondes, MA, CCC-A, F-AAASusan Dondes, MA, CCC-A, F-AAA

Susan Dondes has more than 40 years of clinical experience as an audiologist and has been with Capital Health since 1989. Susan provides comprehensive audiological evaluations for children and adults including conditioned play audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, and behavioral observation audiometry. She also provides newborn hearing screenings, central auditory processing evaluations and counseling, and evaluations for vestibular disorders as well as hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and repairs.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Susan serves as a preceptor for students in audiology programs at area universities. She also works with local school districts to perform auditory processing testing and gives lectures about hearing aids and auditory processing at senior centers in the Mercer County area.

After recieving her Bachelor of Arts degree in hearing and speech sciences from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland, Susan received her Master of Arts degree in audiology from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

 

Melissa O’Malley, AuD, CCC-A, F-AAAMelissa O’Malley, AuD, CCC-A, F-AAA

Melissa O’Malley is a highly trained audiologist and certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She is experienced in performing comprehensive audiological evaluations on children and adults, testing and counseling for auditory processing disorder (APD), diagnosing and counseling for vestibular disorders, and providing hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and repairs.

Melissa received her Doctor of Audiology degree at Salus University George S. Osborne College of Audiology in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Before joining Capital Health, Melissa worked in private practice and hospital settings throughout central New Jersey and the Philadelphia region. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
