As part of the Trenton Neighborhood Initiative’s Grow pillar, Capital Health’s partnerships with Arm in Arm (AIA) and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) has continued to expand over time. Through these partnerships, we are committed to addressing food insecurity in Trenton and Mercer County by ensuring that families receive nutritious groceries and prepared meals at no cost. Capital Health staff, alongside other community volunteers, come together to prepare and distribute grocery bags filled with nonperishable foods and fresh produce. These distributions create meaningful opportunities to connect with community members and support them with dignity and care.
Since the partnership began in March 2023, the food pantry with AIA has distributed nearly 22,000 grocery bags. Additionally, since launching the partnership with TASK in March 2024, more than 24,000 meals have been served. These milestones reflect a shared commitment to ensuring no one goes without access to healthy food.
It is a privilege to serve the community in this way, and we remain committed to expanding our efforts to meet the needs of those we serve.
