In July 2025, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, First Lady Tammy Murphy, New Jersey Economic Development Authority CEO Tim Sullivan, and Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Authority President and CEO Lisa Asare broke ground on the future home of the Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Center (MIHIC) in Trenton, New Jersey. The MIHIC will serve as a hub committed to eliminating racial disparities and advancing maternal and infant health equity in the state.
As an anchor tenant in the City of Trenton for more than 125 years, Capital Health is deeply committed to ensuring access to safe, high quality care for expectant and new parents and their babies. Capital Health is honored to be one of three anchor institutions chosen to lead the MIHIC. We look forward to delivering much needed clinical, educational and social services when the Center opens in Trenton.
