New Capital Health Primary Care Office Opens in Newtown, Hosts Community Open House on March 28

Capital Health Medical Group, Capital Health’s network of more than 250 physicians and other providers who offer primary and specialty care, has opened a new primary care office in Newtown.

The new Capital Health Primary Care – Newtown office, located on 3 Penns Trail Road (a half mile away from the Newtown Bypass), features five board certified doctors and a nurse practitioner who are available for appointments to provide check-ups, sick visits and preventive care for children and adults (including care that’s specific for women and older adults). The staff was part of the Capital Health Primary Care – Lower Makefield location, which has now moved to Newtown.

“If you don’t already have a primary care doctor, our office offers daytime and evening appointment hours for routine check-ups and follow-up visits, as well as sick visits for when you’re not feeling well,” said Dr. Robert Remstein, a board certified internist and medical director at the new Capital Health Primary Care – Newtown office.

The new office is hosting a community open house on Thursday, March 28, 5 – 7 p.m. for anyone looking for a primary care physician. Enjoy light refreshments, tour the new Capital Health Primary Care – Newtown office and meet the board certified doctors and nurse practitioners from Capital Health’s new Langhorne, Newtown and Washington Crossing primary care offices. All three offices accept most insurances, including Independence Blue Cross and Keystone Health Plan.

Capital Health Primary Care - Newtown is led by board certified physicians Dr. Robert Remstein, Dr. Jane Abdalla, Dr. Harmony Bonnes, Dr. Kelley Vandergrift, and Dr. Stephen Vanni, as well as certified nurse practitioner Angela Marchesani.

Dr. Robert Remstein received his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center, PA. As a member of the Capital Health Medical Staff for more than 30 years, Dr. Remstein enjoys caring for adults of all ages, but has a keen interest in helping seniors remain healthy into their retirement years.

Dr. Jane Abdalla is board certified with almost 20 years of medical practice experience, specializing in adult primary care and women's health. She completed her internship and residency at the Warren Hospital Family Practice Residency in Phillipsburg, NJ. She received her Doctorate of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Harmony Bonnes has experience in women’s health. She completed her residency in family medicine at Abington Memorial Hospital and received her medical degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before joining Capital Health, Dr. Bonnes was part of a family medicine practice in Lansdale, PA.

Dr. Kelley Vandergrift and Dr. Stephen Vanni join the Newtown office after practicing the past several months at our nearby Capital Health Primary Care – Langhorne office. Both physicians earned their medical degrees from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Kelley Vandergrift is board certified in family medicine and completed her residency at Abington-Jefferson Health in Abington, PA. Dr. Stephen Vanni is board certified in internal medicine and completed his residency at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynewood, PA.

Nurse Practitioner Angela Marchesani is certified in adult health and family health. She earned her postgraduate certification as a family nurse practitioner from Allegheny University of the Health Science (now Drexel University) in Philadelphia, PA. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree (adult nurse practitioner) from La Salle University.
