Cultivating Calm: Anxiety Skills Group For Youth

Does your child constantly worry, have difficulty in social settings, panic attacks or irrational fears? If so, this group is a great fit! The 12-week anxiety skills group is for young people ages 12 to 14 who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and experience difficulty with stress management.

Led by Tatyana Shields, a licensed clinical social worker from Capital Health – Behavioral Health Specialists, this semi-structured group will provide a variety of relaxation and coping skills. Each session will provide education about stress and anxiety as well as provide a supportive environment for young people who are dealing with similar issues. Group members will be provided the time to practice skills during sessions and encouraged to practice in between sessions.

This group therapy program will be billed to your health insurance. Meeting locations will be determined at a later date, and participants will be notified upon registration.
