On December 21 at 12:01 a.m., Capital Health assumed responsibility for health care services previously provided by St. Francis Medical Center. This transition of operations is necessary due to declining patient volumes and the serious financial distress faced by St. Francis Medical Center. That campus, which now operates an Emergency Department and some outpatient services, has been renamed Capital Health – East Trenton and no longer operates as an acute care hospital.

Due to this transition, we want to make sure prior St. Francis patients have the information needed to receive the care they need.

The St. Francis campus on Hamilton Avenue has been renamed Capital Health – East Trenton.
