“I’m pregnant, what exercises should I be doing?” Whether you are already an avid gym-goer or someone who has not exercised in a long time, exercise is healthy for both mother and baby when done correctly.

Join us for a 60-minute walking tour of the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell. We will take you on the footpath that you will follow when you are in labor.

Preparing for Birth: Condensed Childbirth Education

Capital Health offers an intensive day of prepared childbirth to prepare the expectant woman and her labor support person for the birth experience. This class is taught by an experienced, certified childbirth educator.

Understanding Breastfeeding Class

This class is taught by a board certified lactation consultant from Capital Health's Lactation Center. Class should be taken before the birth of the baby.

Baby Care Basics Class

This class helps prepare first-time expectant parents to care for their newborn and is taught by an experienced, certified childbirth and parent educator. Class includes keeping baby healthy, sleeping, crying, comforting, bathing, diapering and new parent support systems available.
