Eating Healthy the Plant-Based Way

Research shows that people who eat more plant-based foods have a lower risk of heart disease, certain cancers and type 2 diabetes. Join Mindy Komosinsky, a registered and licensed dietitian/nutritionist and certified diabetes care and education specialist from the Capital Health Outpatient Nutrition Counseling Department, as she discusses the benefits of adding more plant-based foods to your diet, practical tips for getting started, and how to make balanced meals using plant-based ingredients. Shauna Alvarez, executive chef at America’s Grow-a-Row, will end the program with a plant-based cooking demonstration.

This event will be taking place virtually using Zoom. A call-in option is available for those without video access. Meeting details will be provided via email 2-3 days before the program date. Registration ends 24 hours before the program date.
