Dr. Anil Deshpande is a fellowship trained cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon with more than 40 years of clinical experience. His clinical focus is on vascular surgery. Dr. Deshpande completed his fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a residency in general surgery at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey, where he served as chief resident. He received his medical degree from Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai, India.
Before joining Capital Health, Dr. Deshpande spent 17 years as chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and worked in private practice in Mercer and Bucks counties. He limits his practice to peripheral vascular surgery.
Dr. Deshpande is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
