Capital Health Cancer Center, located at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell, is the area’s most advanced provider of cancer treatment delivered by some of the most experienced medical experts, led by Medical Director Dr. Cataldo Doria.   • Commission on Cancer (COC)
    • The Commission on Cancer (CoC), a program of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) has awarded Capital Health Cancer Center as an accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Program dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard setting, which promotes cancer prevention, research, education, and monitoring of comprehensive quality care. We are a proud multiple recipient of the COC’s Outstanding Achievement Award and preceding Accreditation with Gold Commendation.
  • ACR American College of Radiology (ACR)
    • This accreditation is recognized as the gold standard in medical imaging. It represents the highest level of image quality and safety and that an organization meets all requirements for equipment, medical personnel, and quality assurance.
  • ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE)
    • This designation is awarded for earning four national accreditations in all of the ACR’s breast accreditation programs: mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
  • College of American Pathologists (CAP)
    • This organization is the world’s largest organization of board-certified pathologists. Accreditation is an attestation to quality laboratory practices to organizations who can demonstrate excellence in patient care and confidence in laboratory practices.
  • National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC)
    • A program of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS), the NAPBC is a consortium of national, professional organizations focused on breast health and dedicated to the improvement of quality outcomes of patients with diseases of the breast through evidence-based standards and patient and professional education.
  • Magnet® Recognition
    • Capital Health has been awarded the prestigious Magnet® Recognition Program for excellence four consecutive times from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The program designates where nursing leaders successfully align their nursing strategic goals to improve the organization’s patient outcomes and nursing excellence.
  • DNV GL – Healthcare
    • This accreditation demonstrates that organizations meet or exceed patient safety standards and Conditions of Participation set forth by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). DNV GL’s accreditation program is the only one to integrate the ISO 9001 Quality Management System with the Medicare Conditions of Participation.
  • National Pancreas Foundation (NPF)
    • The National Pancreas Foundation is the only foundation dedicated to patients suffering from all forms of pancreas disease. To earn recognition as an NPF Center for treating pancreatic cancer, Capital Health met comprehensive standards developed by a task force of pancreatic cancer experts and patient advocates. The criteria includes having expert physicians in specialties such as gastroenterology, pancreas surgery, and interventional radiology, along with more patient-focused programs such as a pain management, behavioral health, and more.
