Cardiology

Our comprehensive cardiology program made up of the area's finest noninvasive and interventional cardiologists - treats more than 15,000 cardiology patients and performs more than 44,000 diagnostic procedures each year.

Capital Health cardiologists are specialists in diagnosing, treating, and preventing heart disease. By evaluating a patient's overall lifestyle, including factors such as hypertension, smoking, diabetes, and cholesterol, our cardiologists draw on extensive experience to make an accurate diagnosis and identify the most appropriate treatment, often times without surgery.

Our Cardiology Department offers a full spectrum of clinical services and diagnostic testing. And, our Cardiac Catheterization Lab, located at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell, provides state-of-the-art digital technology with a skilled and caring staff who have experience in performing cardiac catheterizations.

Patients with vascular disease are at a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Our catheterization lab works in conjunction with the vascular lab to provide full-service diagnostic and interventional care to meet the needs of all our patients in the hopes of providing optimal coordination and overall care of our patients.

If you have suffered a heart attack, undergone a cardiac procedure, or have pulmonary disease, you may be a good candidate for our cardiac rehabilitation or pulmonary rehabilitation program, both of which will be opening at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell in Spring 2012. Each program is personalized to fit the needs of the patient. The program consists of supervised exercise with cardiac telemetry monitoring, plus lifestyle modification and nutrition counseling. The rehab team focuses on helping each patient live and cope successfully with heart disease, while guiding them to their maximum potential.
