Dr. Simonian is the medical director of the Center for Digestive Health and Chief of Gastroenterology at Capital Health. As medical director of the Center, he helps guide referring physicians and their patients to the appropriate advanced digestive health tests and treatments available at the Center, and as a board certified gastroenterologist, he provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant disorders of the digestive tract. These include conditions in the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, pancreas, biliary tract, liver, the small bowel and colon. He is a longtime partner of Mercer Gastroenterology.

A former chairperson for the Department of Medicine at Capital Health, Dr. Simonian received his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, NJ. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. At Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center in Camden, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and liver diseases. He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Simonian is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee for Capital Health and serves on the board of the Mercer County Surgery Center. At Capital Health, he has also been an active member of the Medical Executive Committee, the physician champion for implementation of the new electronic medical system, and a teaching attending physician for the Capital Health Internal Medicine Residency Program.

As an interventional gastroenterologist and therapeutic endoscopist, Dr. Rogart performs the latest and most advanced procedures for the testing and non-surgical treatment of digestive disorders and cancers. Dr. Rogart has advanced expertise in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), radiofrequency ablation (BARRX), complex polypectomy, pseudocyst drainage, enteral stent placment, stricture dilation, and advanced endoscopic imaging. He is board certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine.

Dr. Rogart received his medical degree from Brown Medical School and completed his internship and residency at Yale University in the Department of Internal Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was also Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship training in digestive diseases at Yale University/Yale-New Haven Hospital and subsequently was an Advanced Endoscopy fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Rogart’s professional memberships include the American Medical Association, the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Rogart holds academic appointments at Yale University and at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School—University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). Dr. Rogart has published numerous original research articles and chapters in various national and international journals and resource textbooks. He has also been an invited speaker and faculty member at several local and national conferences, including Digestive Diseases Week, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Society of Gastrointestinal Nurses and Associates, as well as the 1st Annual Jefferson GI Live: Looking Through the Eyes of Experts conference. He is currently on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology and is a reviewer for several national and international clinical publications such as Endoscopy and Digestive Diseases and Sciences.

Dr. Christopher Gannon is a fellowship trained surgeon who specializes in the field of surgical oncology with special expertise in cancers of the liver, bile ducts, and pancreatic cancers. Dr. Gannon also provides surgical care for cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, endocrine system, and skin. In addition to malignancies, Dr. Gannon is one of the only surgeons in the region providing comprehensive care for benign diseases of the liver, bile ducts, and pancreas including cysts, stones, and biliary reconstruction.

Dr. Gannon came to Advanced Surgical Associates of New Jersey from The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he was assistant professor of surgery and director of the liver tumor study group in the Division of Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Gannon received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons after completing his undergraduate education at Yale University. He completed his general surgical residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He also completed fellowship training in surgical oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Additional professional memberships include the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Association of Academic Surgeons and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Gannon has published extensively in prominent scientific and medical journals. In addition, he has been invited to present his research findings at national and international surgical conferences.

Dr. Rosato specializes in complex, minimally invasive surgical procedures to treat cancers in the gastrointestinal system (also known as the digestive system) and surrounding areas. He is one of the area’s foremost experts in advanced open, laparoscopic (minimally invasive), robotic (using the da Vinci® Surgical System) and ablative (burning or freezing of tissue) techniques. His medical focus is on the surgical treatment of cancers and advanced conditions of the digestive system, including achalasia (difficulty swallowing), hiatal hernia, abdominal wall reconstruction, Crohn’s, colitis and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed his fellowship training in gastroenterological surgery at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is a member of many professional and scientific societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Pennyslvania Medical Society and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is board certified in general surgery.

As a recognized academic in the area of gastrointestinal surgery, Dr. Rosato has published articles and chapters in various national trade journals and resource textbooks. He has also been invited to present as an expert on some of the most advanced surgical techniques at conventions for his colleagues across the country.
