The Center for Wound Management is a specialty center offering comprehensive wound care with state-of-the-art treatment for all types of chronic non-healing wounds. Our program treats diabetic, arterial, venous, pressure, traumatic and surgical wounds, or other types of wounds that have not shown signs of improvement.
The uniqueness of this Center is a comprehensive evaluation with a multidisciplinary team approach. This team consists of a vascular surgeon, infectious disease physicians, podiatrists and nurses certified in wound care. Rather than treating an isolated wound, the staff of the Center views the person as a whole. We study your diet, hygiene habits, level of activity and other medical conditions affecting wound healing. In cooperation with your physician, we develop a treatment plan that can range from dressing changes, wound debridement, compression therapy, special wound closure techniques with grafts, vascular bypasses, as well as hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This multidisciplinary team has worked together for more than 19 years, and is the most experienced wound center in Mercer and Bucks counties.
The program seeks to assure the highest quality of life to the patient. Emphasis is placed on preventative health measures to decrease the incidence of wound recurrence after the wound has healed.
Individualized sessions are offered on topics such as:
- Compression Therapy
Most insurance carriers cover the cost of this program. Please check with your insurance carrier regarding coverage for wound management. If you need assistance, our trained staff will be able to assist you with your concerns.
