Xuebin Yang, MD, PhD

Chief, Gastrointestinal, Pancreatic and Hepatobiliary Pathology and Clinical Chemistry

Dr. Xuebin Yang is board certified in clinical and anatomical pathology and completed his residency in clinical and anatomic pathology at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. Dr. Yang was fellowship trained in surgical pathology and gastrointestinal/hepatic pathology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He earned his doctorate degree in pathology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his medical degree at Shanghai Medical University in Shanghai, China.

Before joining Capital Health, Dr. Yang was a staff pathologist at Southeastern Pathology Associates (SEPA Labs) in Brunswick, Georgia. He has provided instruction for medical students and residents, published research in peer-reviewed medical journals, and presented posters and lectures at medical conferences and symposiums.

Dr. Yang is a member of a number of professional associations, including the Gastrointestinal Pathology Society, the American Society of Clinical Pathology, and the International Society of Urological Pathology.
