Dr. Héctor Casiano is a board certified anesthesiologist with a focus on interventional pain medicine.
He completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Puerto Rico where he received the Academic Excellence Award for his outstanding academic and clinical performance. After his residency, Dr. Casiano completed a regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA and a pain medicine fellowship at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, IL. During his pain medicine fellowship, he was awarded the Alon P. Winnie Award as Outstanding Pain Medicine Fellow of the Year. He earned his medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, PR.
Dr. Casiano has participated in numerous regional, national, and international medical conferences where he presented his research projects, publications, and clinically challenging cases. His main research interest is in the application of fascial plane blocks for chronic pain management. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the North American Neuromodulation Society.
Dr. Casiano’s approach to care is characterized by his compassion and commitment to improving his patients’ quality of life. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
