The Black Tie Tour, one of New Jersey’s premier cycling events, will take place at Capital Health – Hopewell on Sunday, June 23, 2019. This is the fourth year that Riders For A Cause is partnering with Capital Health and primary proceeds from the event will benefit the Cancer Center.
Participants in the Black Tie Tour can choose from a 10, 25, or 50-mile bike ride through the scenic Hopewell and Sourland mountain areas. The 50-mile route is challenging and geared for the more experienced cyclist. The 25-mile route has less elevation and is tailored more for the occasional cyclist. The 10 -mile fun ride is for those who want to make it a family event; it will be contained to the Capital Health campus and will not be on the open roads. In addition, the 10-mile ride will have a ride leader for the group. All routes will be fully supported with first aid, ride marshals, mechanical support and a well-stocked rest stop.
Registration for the event is $95 and participants are asked to raise another $150 in pledges. If you register by May 14, you will receive a discounted fee of $84. Participants will receive a professional high quality cycling jersey, a light breakfast at the start, stocked rest stops, a beautiful medal commemorating the event and a sit down luncheon. For children who take part in the family fun ride, the fee is $10 fee Riders for a Cause (RFAC) is an all-volunteer local 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
