Voice impairment is one of the earliest and most frequent symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. The changes that occur may lead to difficulty expressing yourself, frustration and social isolation. Research has shown that singing may significantly improve pitch duration, vocal loudness and swallow control and may significantly improve quality of life. This singing group will provide opportunities to work on communication through breathing and singing as well as movement through rhythm and posture. The group will be led by a board certified music therapist and joining is free.
