Managing Mood: Teen DBT Skills Group

Does your teen show any of the following?

  • Intense emotions and/or mood swings
  • Impulsive and/or self-destructive behaviors
  • Relationship and interpersonal problems
  • Depression or anxiety
  • Difficulty staying oriented to current time and space
  • Feeling “Empty”

If so, the Teen DBT Skills Group may be a great fit! This skills group focuses on providing teens ages 13 to 15 with skills including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills are designed to help each participant learn to effectively regulate intense emotions and reduce self-defeating behaviors.

Led by Tatyana Gray, a licensed master social worker from Capital Health – Behavioral Health Specialists, the goal of this group is to help each participant better manage intense, overwhelming emotions. This is primarily a psychoeducational group in which the focus is skill acquisition, development, and integration into everyday life.

This event will be taking place virtually using Zoom. To sign up, call Capital Health – Behavioral Health Specialists at 609-689-5725. This group therapy program will be billed to your health insurance. Zoom meeting details will be provided via email 2-3 days before the program date.
