In-Room Services
To make your hospital stay at Capital Health as comfortable as possible, televisions and telephones are offered as complimentary services to our guests.
Television
Television service is free of charge to all patients who are admitted to Capital Health’s hospitals. If you experience technical difficulties with your television, call ext. 2216 (Capital Health Regional Medical Center) or ext. 1182 (Mercer from the phone in your room. Television repair or replacement is available on site seven days a week at both hospitals.
Note: Television use is discouraged after 11 p.m., particularly if you have a roommate.
Telephone
Telephone service is available to all patients who are admitted to Capital Health’s hospitals. Local calls (those with a 609 area code) and calls made to areas inside of the hospital are available free of charge. Toll calls must be charged to your home phone or made collect.
For the comfort of all of our patients, no incoming calls are allowed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., except in the maternity department.
How to place a call from your room:
Inside calls: Any number starting with 394, 278 or 815 may be placed by dialing the last four digits of the phone number.
Local calls outside the hospital: Dial 9, then the number (without area code).
Long Distance calls (different area code): Dial 9 + 1 + area code + number. The operator will ask for billing information. You can also purchase telephone cards in the gift shop, located in our grand lobby.
Free Wifi Available at Capital Health Locations
Capital Health offers public internet access for wireless laptop users at all of its locations.
Instructions are available at any nursing station or you can contact ext. 4343 for help with connecting to Capital Health’s free WiFi.
