Emergency Care That's Just For Kids

A trip to the Emergency Room with a child is never fun. Long waiting times and a crowded waiting area can lead to a stressful time for the whole family.

That's why Capital Health is pleased to offer Pediatric Emergency Services - a one-of-a-kind service offered in the Emergency Room of our Mercer campus.

As part of our comprehensive emergency care offered at the Mercer campus, our department is devoted solely to children up to 18 years old. Our department is run by the finest pediatricians and specially trained pediatric nurses - 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Upon arrival, children are taken directly to the new Pediatric Emergency Care area, a child-friendly section separate from the main Emergency Room, where every child is examined by a pediatrician. From diagnosing and treating a critically ill child to stitching and bandaging a wound, our Pediatric Emergency Services are available just for kids and closer to their playground at Capital Health.
