Outpatient Diagnostic Services
Outpatient Diagnostic Services at Capital Health - Hamilton offers an extraordinary combination of diagnostic tools and equipment within one campus. Patients can receive a wide range of radiology testing including low dose digital x-rays, ultrasounds, mammograms, and bone density studies, as well as undergo minor procedures such as thyroid biopsies and breast mammotome biopsies. Patients can also have blood drawn at our drawing station, undergo EKGs, or complete pre-admission testing for surgeries scheduled at Capital Health hospitals—all during one visit.
All radiology testing is 100 percent digital, which provides for a faster image, a lower dose of radiation, and a higher rate of early cancer detection via mammograms in certain patients. This reduced level of radiation is also important as it allows us to test children and patients of any age.
Outpatient Diagnostic Services at Capital Health - Hamilton strives to make testing as convenient as possible. That’s why we offer radiology services such as screening mammograms, x-rays, ultrasounds, and bone density studies on either a scheduled or walk-in basis. EKGs and laboratory services are also available on a walk-in basis. Patients can stop by when in the area—or when visiting one of our physicians next door.
At Outpatient Diagnostic Services, we make every effort to maximize patient privacy, dignity, and comfort. All testing takes place in a private, calming environment that includes ladies and men’s lounges, private lockers to hold personal belongings, and plush robes for added comfort.

Breast, Soft Tissue, Thyroid Biopsy and Digital Mammography
Performed and scheduled through our board certified and fellowship trained radiologist
Breast Mammotome Biopsy
Mammographic or ultrasonographic guided. Performed and scheduled through our board certified, fellowship trained radiologist and/or surgeon
Pre-admission testing
Available by appointment for patients having surgery at Capital Health
Walk-in hours available for:
Labcorp draw station and EKGs
Monday through Friday: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturday: 7 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
