Randi Protter, MD, FACP, NCMP
Medical Director, Center for Women's Health
Dr. Randi Protter serves as medical director of the Capital Health Center for Women's Health, an innovative new practice that specializes in the unique medical and health needs of women of all ages, with an emphasis on patient convenience.
Dr. Protter is board certified by the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine. She received her MD degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed a three-year medical residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's Primary Care residency program at St. Peter's Medical Center, where she pursued specials studies and experiences in women’s health. Dr. Protter also received credentialing as a Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP) by the North American Menopause Society, recognizing her expertise in the field of menopause. She received a BS in Biology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Protter is a clinical instructor in the Department of Medicine of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Prior to joining Capital Health, she was the medical director of the Women's Health and Counseling Center in Somerville, N.J.
Among Dr. Protter's awards is recognition as the USA honoree by the United Nations Association for contributing to “Women's Rights, Empowerment and Gender Equity.” She was named Outstanding Woman of the Year in Medicine by the Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women and received the Susan G. Komen Hero Award.
Dr. Protter is a frequently-invited speaker on women's health issues and has also appeared on television on “Later Today,” “The Today Show” and “Good Morning New Jersey.”
