CCBC

The first step for many women when faced with a breast disease diagnosis, such as cancer, is finding a surgeon they can be confident in and feel at ease with. Our practice provides patients with the full range of surgical services, while at the same time ensuring that your experience with us includes the education, support, and guidance you need to develop a treatment plan that is based on the latest science and with which you are comfortable.

Confidence in your care.

Both of our surgeons are board certified. Dr. Lisa Allen completed her fellowship training in breast surgical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, and Dr. Rose Mustafa, who is also fellowship trained in breast surgical oncology, completed her training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

What this means for our patients at Capital Health is that they are being seen by breast surgeons who have trained with various leaders in the field, at institutions where researchers are focusing on innovative therapies and procedures. Both Dr. Allen and Dr. Mustafa continue to be active in research and bring these relationships with them to Capital Health.

Dr. Allen also serves as the director of Capital Health’s Center for Comprehensive Breast Care, which coordinates for patients all of the health care system’s breast services including diagnostic capabilities, oncologic surgery, reconstructive/plastic surgery, radiation and chemotherapy options and support services such as physical therapy, nutrition, social work.

Your relationship with us

When it comes to treating women with breast disease, specifically women diagnosed with breast cancer, our surgeons believe that providing outstanding care is just one part of their job. From the time you walk through the door, you are part of a program dedicated to your physical and emotional well-being.

Our surgeons maintain their schedules in a way that allows them to spend the time necessary with their patients to thoroughly explain the options, their recommendations, the components of the treatment plan, and most importantly, answer all of your questions.
