Preparing for Your Hip or Knee Replacement
Those who schedule their hip or knee replacement surgery at the Marjorie G. Ernest Joint Replacement Center of Excellence at Capital Health Medical
Center – Hopewell are getting extra help from Capital Heath’s orthopedic-trained Magnet nurses.
“To help take away some of the stress that comes before hip or knee replacement surgery, we offer classes to help patients and their loved ones
prepare for what they can expect before, during and after their hospital visit,” said Cheryl Wiseman, nurse manager of the 4M Surgical Care Unit at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell.
Classes are taught for knee replacement every Tuesday and for hip replacement every Thursday in the 4th Floor Conference Room adjacent to the 4M Surgical Care Unit where patients will be staying after surgery. For more information or if you scheduled your procedure at Capital Health and want to sign up for the course, visit capitalhealth.org/ortho to register online.
