Getting to Know Our ERs

In the Emergency Rooms (ER) at both Capital Health hospitals, things don't happen the way they do on TV.

“Our Emergency Departments at both hospitals are unique because, in addition to the traditional ER, they also offer specialized physicians and staff for time sensitive emergencies, such as severe injuries; strokes, aneurysms and other conditions involving the brain; and heart attacks and chest pain,” said Dr. William Dalsey, chairman, Department of Emergency Medicine, Capital Health. “At Hopewell, we even offer completely separate adult and pediatric emergency areas so that patients have greater privacy and receive more age-appropriate care.”
