Before you consider adding a new member to the family, you may wish to take advantage of our specialized prenatal programs. We can assist with preconception counseling, genetic testing, and infertility treatment.
Most pregnancies will be routine. If you are among the small number of women who have complicated pregnancies or go into labor early, you can rely on our clinical expertise.
If your pregnancy is complicated, Capital Health offers a variety of services to help you through your difficult time. With 24/7 in-house obstetrical, neonatal, anesthesiology and midwifery coverage, you can rest knowing the best possible care is available to you.
We offer diabetic management during pregnancy and diagnostic imaging services, and will be there should you require extensive prenatal testing for high-risk pregnancies, including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
Our Regional Perinatal Center at Capital Health Regional Medical Center offers the area's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Capital Health has been designated as a Regional Perinatal Center because of the experienced, highly trained staff and high-tech facilities we provide.
