Dr. Veznedaroglu serves as chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Capital Health and director of the Capital Institute for Neurosciences.
Dr. Veznedaroglu, also known as Dr. Vez, received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and completed his internship in surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He completed residencies in neurological surgery and pediatric neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, respectively.
Dr. Vez received his fellowship training in cerebrovascular/ neurointerventional neurosurgery and neuro critical care at Thomas Jefferson Hospital for Neurosciences in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Veznedaroglu is board certified in neurological surgery and is dual trained in both traditional and endovascular neurosurgical approaches.

Kenneth M. Liebman, MD, FACS, FAANS
Director, Neurosurgical Critical Care
Dr. Liebman, director of neurosurgical critical care at Capital Health, received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his internship in general surgery at Temple in addition to completing his neurosurgical residency at Temple and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his fellowship training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for Neurosciences in cerebrovascular surgery and interventional neuroradiology. Dr. Liebman is board certified in neurological surgery and is dual trained in both traditional and endovascular neurosurgical approaches.

Mandy J. Binning, MD
Director, Comprehensive Stroke Center
Dr. Binning received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. She completed her residencies in general surgery and neurosurgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Binning received her fellowship training in endovascular/vascular neurosurgery at Capital Health and the University of Buffalo in New York state. Dr. Binning is dual trained in both traditional and endovascular neurosurgical approaches.

Lee Buono, MD, FACS
Dr. Buono received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Buono is board certified in neurological surgery. Dr. Buono specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery.

Arlan H. Mintz, MD, MSc, FRCS(C), FACS

Dr. Mintz, director of Neurosurgical Oncology and surgical director of CyberKnife®, joined Capital Health from the University of Pittsburgh, which has one of the nation’s leading neurology/neurosurgery programs. He was an associate professor of Neurological Surgery and Radiation Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and director of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Adult Neurosurgical Oncology Program.
Dr. Mintz is board certified in neurological surgery in both the United States and Canada and specializes in the surgical and radiosurgical treatment of brain and spine tumors.
Dr. Mintz received his medical degree from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He went on to complete his surgical internship at McMaster University and his neurosurgery residency at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Mintz also holds Master of Science degrees in both neurophysiology and clinical epidemiology.

Joseph E. Sherrill II, MD, FACS, FAANS
Dr. Sherrill received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internship at St. Louis University Health Sciences Center as well as his residency in neurological surgery and obtained advanced training in spinal surgery at St. Louis University Hospital. Dr. Sherrill is board certified in neurological surgery.

Mitra Assadi, MD
Director, Headache Medicine and Pediatric Neurology
Dr. Assadi received her medical degree from Phalavi Medical School in Shiraz, Iran. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Prince George's Hospital in Cheverly, Maryland, followed by a residency in neurology at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dr. Assadi received her fellowship training in pediatric neurology at St. Christopher Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She is board certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology and headache medicine. Dr. Assadi specializes in headache medicine and pediatric neurology.

Jill M. Farmer, DO, MPH
Dr. Farmer received her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) after completion of her Masters in Public Health which she received from UMDNJ as well. Following the completion of her degrees, Dr. Farmer completed an internship with Georgetown University/Providence Hospital’s Department of Family Medicine and a neurology residency at Georgetown University Hospital. During her residency she was Chief Resident in the Department of Neurology. Dr. Farmer remained at Georgetown for her fellowship in movement disorders. She is board certified in neurology.

Rajesh Sachdeo, MD, FAAN
Dr. Sachdeo is board certified in neurology. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Christian Medical College - Ludhiana and a neurology residency at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois. Dr. Sachdeo received his fellowship training in neurophysiology and epilepsy at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Sachdeo specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy.

Dr. Shukla received his medical degree from Shri M.P. Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, India. He completed his residency in neurology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Shukla received fellowship training in neurophysiology also at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Shukla is board certified in neurology, vascular neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and electrodiagnostic medicine.

Yaakov N. Applbaum, MD
Medical Director and Chairman, Department of Radiology
Dr. Applbaum received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His residency in radiology at Maimonides Medical Center was followed by a fellowship in interventional radiology at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center. He previously served as chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Staten Island University Hospital. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology and neuroradiology.
Konstantin V. Chernukha, MD
Dr. Chernukha received his medical degree from Moscow State University of Medicine & Dentistry in Russia. He did his residencies in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and MetroHealth Medical Center, also in Cleveland. Dr. Chernukha also completed a residency in clinical and anatomical pathology at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, after which he did fellowship training in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology at Indiana University Hospital School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is board certified in both radiology and neuroradiology.
Ajay Choudhri, MD
Director, Interventional Radiology
Dr. Choudhri received his medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School, UMDNJ, Newark. His residency in radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, was followed by a fellowship in interventional radiology at the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute. He previously served as chief of Interventional Radiology at Jackson South Hospital in Miami. He is board certified in radiology.
Bradd R. Millian, MD
Dr. Millian received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Boston University Medical Center and received his fellowship training in neuroradiology from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He is board certified in radiology and neuroradiology.
