Patients benefit from multidisciplinary appointments, which are led personally by Dr. Redjal, and supported by a team of oncology care experts from radiation and medical oncology, nutrition, nursing, rehabilitation services, and social work.
Patients being treated for tumors of the brain and spine are also discussed at our weekly, multidisciplinary, neuro-oncology tumor board, which brings together the expertise of our neurosurgery, radiation and medical oncology, neuroradiology, pathology, nursing, genetics, and clinical research teams to discuss each patient’s medical condition and appropriate treatment options.
Our nurse navigator also provides support and can answer questions. He can also help patients navigate the services they need, and facilitate communication between patients and their physicians.
