The Pharmacy Department operates 24 hours a day and seven days a week on both campuses. It boasts state-of-art computerized pharmacy services that include:
  • Preparation of intravenous (IV) solution, antibiotic piggyback and syringe and chemotherapy (cancer) medications.
  • Preparation of highly specialized medications for Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatric Unit.
  • Preparation of sophicated total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions for all levels of care.
  • Dispensing of medications through automated dispensing cabinets or pneumatic tube.
  • Computerized pharmacy software to check for drug-drug interactions.
In addition, pharmacists offer patient counseling at discharge for certain medications and provide information to diabetic patients on disease management. The department consists of 50 employees including clinical pharmacists to develop programs to further enhance patient care.

The department welcomes pharmacy students for part time and per diem employment.
