Sibling Preparation Class

May 26, 2018

This 1 1/2 hour class helps prepare children ages 2 1/2 and up for the arrival of their new brother or sister. Includes a craft activity, discussion about babies, and a maternity unit tour.  Please bring a doll or stuffed animal for a diapering activity and a photo of the child participant for the craft activity.

Understanding Birth e-Class

May 30, 2018 This is a web-based class for expectant parents who can’t make it to an on-site group prepared childbirth class. Class registration is on a rolling basis, which means you can register and start at any time.

Prepared Childbirth - 4 week series

This series consists of four weekly two-hour classes to prepare the expectant woman and her partner(s) for the birth experience. Fee is per couple.


One-Day Condensed Prepared Childbirth Class

June 9, 2018

An intensive seven hours of prepared childbirth on a weekend day. Includes abbreviated content of the Prepared Childbirth 4-week Series. A tour of the maternity unit at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell is included. Fee is per couple.


Baby Care Basics

June 11, 2018

This 2 1/2 hour class helps prepare first-time expectant parents and prospective adoptive parents to care for their newborn. Includes sleeping, crying, comforting, bathing, diapering and nurturing yourselves as parents. Fee is per couple.

Breastfeeding Moms Group

June 19, 2018

Held in the conference room at Capital Health - Hamilton. A breastfeeding discussion group for expectant women interested in breastfeeding, mothers and their nursing infants welcome. Facilitated by a Capital Health nurse/lactation consultant.
